Simplified versions of Caliban's story from The Tempest, one with images and speech bubbles, the other written as a story with activities/5(4).

Wow! What a read. I just finished the new book by author Miranda Nading. Caliban is a story that will grab readers by the throat from the very start and will keep them obsessively turning the pages all the way through until the very end! Follow the story of Dr. Bobby Reed, a geneticist who has given up his career in order to settle down and raise his family.   CALIBAN’S WAR is an action-packed space adventure following in the footsteps of the critically acclaimed Leviathan Wakes. Stand alone or series: Book 2 in the Expanse series. How did I get this book: Review Copy from the Publisher. Why did I read this book: I truly enjoyed the first book in this series, last year’s Leviathan Wakes. Heck, I.

I’ve been on a bit of a Shakespeare kick recently and so I was surprised to stumble across this book, Caliban’s Hour by one of my favorite authors Tad Williams. It is a short novella written from the point of view of Caliban giving his history and version of events from the play The Tempest/5.

For nearly four centuries, widely diverse writers and artists from around the world have found the rebellious monster an intriguing and useful signifier.

He has been portrayed in the theatre and in literary criticism as - among other things. The sleepers aboard Caliban, the monster stalking the corridors, picking off crew members, even the female hero - it’s all an Alien rip-off.
